This is why you let her go

Hey man,

We all know that moment…
You could approach her.
Ask her out.
Invite her back home.

But instead — you freeze.
You hesitate.
And the moment’s gone.

And what’s worse than fear?
Regret.

Let me share a story:

I’m at a festival alone.
Feeling shy. Considering to go back home.
But I stay — give a few compliments, and little by little I’m getting into flow.

Then something shifts.

I stop trying to be impressive, and just accept.

“I’m here. Alone. And that’s okay.”

Suddenly I feel free.

I dance closer to a group — two beautiful girls that catch my eye.
Eventually the music stops, and I introduce myself.
They’re leaving, so they invite me to join, and we hang out all evening.

The night goes towards end, and we’re walking towards home.
Just me and the two girls.
One of them lives close.

We have connection. Flirtation.
The tension is there.

I wanted to invite her back home.

But instead…
I back off.

“Good night.”
“Text me.”
She looks surprised.

I walk home — stomach tight.

“Why didn’t I go for it?”
“Why does this keep happening?”
“What if she was here now?”

It hurt.

But instead of beating myself up, I do something different.

I look at what really happened:

I didn’t own my desire.
I chose comfort over rejection.
And I make a promise:
This ends here.

Since then — I’ve still messed up. But I never hold back out of fear.

I speak my truth.
I go for what I want.
Because that’s what freedom feels like.

And that’s what I want for you.
