I love you

What is on your mind, right now?

Hey man.

Saying what is on your mind can be challenging because of beliefs around your thoughts and emotions.

You might believe that a certain thought is shameful, even when it’s coming from a place of love.

However, as you’ve experienced in the past when you do share what is on your mind, you’re likely to get a positive response.

On Thursday, during a weekly call with a student, I told him I loved him. He was talking about how he had held himself back from speaking his mind with a girl he was attracted to, and that’s what arose in my mind.

I also had thoughts that “I cannot say this” “This is a professional setting, it’s not the right time”

How do you think he responded?

He told me his mind, which was that if his sister was pregnant with a boy, he would like it to be Edin.

What a compliment!

Now I invite you to change your name to Edin (joking)

I invite you to speak your mind the next time you have these thoughts that tell you it’s not ok to say that.

The way to overcome shame (which means to cover up) is to uncover it.

It will be a bit scary

And you will feel great about yourself.

That’s all for today

Take care,

Edin the first
