just had my first date since the breakup
here are the 3 winning insights
Hey man,
happy Sunday!
I’ve been taking time to work on myself after breaking up in my last relationship.
I didn’t want to rush and fill the gap right away, so there was moments upon moments where I sat with my loneliness. It’s been tough, but worth it.
This weekend I felt ready to date, so today I went on my first date.

Here are 3 winning insights for your next date.
First insight:
I sat down next to her (she was already there) and as we greeted each other, I was not feeling amazing. The first couple of minutes was a bit off.
Why?
I had just battled some inner demons (lol) - and my mood was not at the best.
Lesson: Don’t solve a new mystery right before your date, just chill and do something you enjoy.
Second:
As we talked, I constantly felt the pressure to perform. You know what I mean right?
Be funny, interesting and escalate. The last one was my achilles heal today.
I felt like I needed to make moves and this kept me more in my head than I’d like to be. Also my moves was a bit rushed and not so calibrated as I’d like them to be.
Next time, I’ll relax more.
Lesson: Focus on enjoying yourself, and make moves when you feel the desire to, not when you think you need to. There is no rush (but don’t use it as an excuse to not do anything).
Third:
Towards the end, before I kissed her, I was a bit bored and thought about the work I wanted to finish. Then it hit me that I was a bit passive. I like to be active, so I followed my excitement which was putting the Jenga set back in the card box. It’s a small move, but for myself I was respecting my own time and communicated to her that we were finishing up.
Lesson: Don’t be afraid to push her away by suggesting things or just doing things you feel like. Trying to control the outcome is going to hurt you more than just doing what you feel like in the moment.
All in all: Enjoy yourself, don’t try to be perfect and go for what you want, when you want it.
Feels great to be back!
I’ll see you soon,
